In light of the recent ranking of Minnesota as the worst state for winter, one might think that we hibernate in these sub-zero temperatures or that we just put our lives on hold until the snow melts. But instead our lives go on, they flourish, they grow.

So, it was lovely to work with Justin on his surprise proposal to Abby this winter. Some plans had to be modified because of the cold (so, so cold). In the end, Abby said yes, on the banks of the Mississippi river surrounded by snow.

Well, Abby said yes, and then I think she squealed. There might have been some jumping and a little screaming as well.

And a special thanks to the Aster cafe for being so flexible and opening up their River Room event space for us to take a few photos indoors!
