On the intimacy of photography and being a Minneapolis Family Photographer
When I started my photography business a decade ago, I was surprised by the intimacy that photography requires. I had been expecting to worry about the technical side, to worry about timelines and logistics, and I do worry about those things. But I’m always stuck by what a private act it can be to allow yourself to be photographed. I ask to view you, to create a portrait of you and maybe also your loved ones, to document that relationship, and that involves a great deal of trust.
All of which is to say, I feel to lucky to call so many past clients friends and to follow their adventures on social media as their lives evolve.
SHORT portrait sessions have been an amazing way to bring that connection back full circle – documenting the changing lives of my past wedding clients and meeting new couples and families along the way as well. I offer a limited number of SHORT portrait sessions each year and here are some of my favorite images from spring.
If you are looking for a Minneapolis family photographer, I offer full sessions as well as a limited number of SHORT portrait sessions every year. Contact me for more information or to schedule a session!
