Just 20 minutes to get a refresh on family photos, quick headshots, or a photo with a squirmy toddler or slightly reluctant honey. I call these little portraits SHORT portrait sessions because the time commitment is small so you can get back to enjoying your weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions about SHORT portrait sessions:
Q. Where will the sessions be?
A. I give general information about what part of town the sessions will occur in when you book. The specific location will be emailed to you as we get closer to the session. The reason for this is to keep flexibility as summer means construction, event congestion, and park renovations. I take those into consideration and tour locations again the week before I send out final information so that I know parking lots are not under construction and park amenities are accessible.
Q. What if it rains?
A. If the weather looks too rainy for photos, I will generally cancel the SHORT portrait sessions and offer a rain date or a refund.
Q. We need a specific time, but I only see a time range – how do we get the time we want?
A. I book sessions based on the needs of clients – please indicate any timing constraints (other appointments, nap schedules, etc) so I can get you a time that works.
Q. None of those times work for us (or those locations are all too far!) – can we schedule something else?
A. I offer SHORT portrait sessions in the late summer as well, so get in touch and I can schedule a session around your needs. Otherwise, I offer full portrait sessions around your needs all year round! You can see more information about full portrait sessions on my Portraits Page.
Q. I’m interested in the Interstate Park/Taylors Falls sessions – do I need a state park permit?
A. Yes you do (and they ticket aggressively there, so you REALLY do). You can get one online ahead of time, or purchase one at the rangers’ office the day of the session (make sure to budget some extra time to get that before the session). More information on MN State Park Permits is here.
