Proposing marriage always seems like an emotionally vulnerable thing to do. Even when you have talked about it, even when you know, it still requires a little leap of faith to actually make the ask.

I suspect that snow and cold make it easier to hide rings in bulky winter jackets and hide nervous energy with cold hands. But it was still a lovely leap of faith (and total surprise to Liz!) when David walked with her down a favorite path and asked her to marry him for this winter proposal.

I was thrilled to be asked to document this moment (and let me tell you, being inconspicuous while on a long empty walking path in winter time with camera equipment is no easy feat).

Congratulations to Liz and David, and all the wonderful celebrating they have ahead of them!
