Wedding photography, for me, is more than the creation of beautiful images. It’s a chance to tell the full story of the day, so that those who were there can remember the full arc of the event, and those who weren’t able to attend can get a real sense of the experience. I love what I do, whether it’s documenting conversations, capturing the energy of a dance floor in full swing, or wrangling several dozen relatives for a big family portrait.

My style is a mix of happy, innovative, classic & documentary images. I also incorporate a variety of lighting and composition techniques to provide a handful of images that are unique and unexpected.
I know that for you, this isn’t just a business transaction. This is your one chance to record a uniquely special day. That’s why I give all my clients the edited files of their photographs in high resolution (digital negatives), and make a special effort to understand the unique challenges and opportunities that each wedding provides.
Wedding coverage starts at $2800 for a full day of coverage and all edited digital files in high resolution. Most couples spend $3600-$5000 for coverage + albums. Email me for full pricing guide.
ABOUT ME:
I’ve shot over 150 weddings, and my work has been featured in The Knot Magazine, Minnesota Bride Magazine, Saveur Magazine, Metro Magazine, CNN Money online, the Minneapolis St Paul Business Journal, chow.com, City Pages, and the Star Tribune. Together with my husband, I have documented local food culture as a founding photographer of heavytable.com and as photographer for The Master Cheesemakers of Wisconsin (UW Press 2009).
In 2009, I founded the Independent Wedding Association, a local community of wedding professionals, hosting events and wedding workshops to share our love of weddings with brides and groom looking for a more personal and information-heavy approach to planning their Midwest wedding.
Although I am based in the Twin Cities, I have shot weddings all over the Midwest as well as Cape Cod, San Francisco, New York, New Zealand, Ireland and Mexico. I love to travel, and am always happy to chat about shooting events outside of Minneapolis/St.Paul.
