Minnesota State Fair favorites {photo a day}
Now that spring is in the air, I am already thinking about the 2010 Minnesota state fair. For those who might not know, I won a red ribbon for my pickled watermelon rind (a Dilley family tradition) and so I am thinking about all the other canning opportunities for this year. Here are a few of my favorites from the 2009 Minnesota state fair.

Setting up a first look for your wedding {Adrianne & Ian}
This series of photos just touches my heart every time I look through them. A “first look” or a “first viewing” is something I set up so that the bride and groom can see each other and spend a few minutes away from everyone else before we start the formal photography, and it can clearly be an emotional time. I just love that Ian and Adrianne wear their hearts on their sleeves, and I can’t wait to post the rest of the images from their wedding.

Photo featured in Saveur magazine {Wisconsin cheesemaker portraits}
In the last few years I have enjoyed the opportunities I have had to photograph Wisconsin’s amazing cheesemakers, on occasion for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. I am thrilled that one of my photos of Willi Lehner (of Bleu Mont Dairy) is in the June/July 2010 issue of Saveur magazine, available now.

The best sandwiches are the most simple {food}
At France 44 cheese shop, you can get the most amazing and simple sandwich – butter, comte cheese, local ham, baguette. Oh, so delicious.

Phillips Distilling Minneapolis
I was lucky enough to take photos at the Phillips distilling lab in downtown Minneapolis for a piece about their reissued peppermint schnapps on the Heavy Table. Here are a few of my favorites.

This month you can check out some of my photos in Metro magazine Minneapolis. My photos are featured in the cover article, and showcase some of my favorite photos of cheesemakers, landscapes, and traveling in general!
