Amy told me they wanted to find someplace a little different for their wedding, and they settled on the lavish Loring Pasta Bar. I think some of the friends and family might have thought it odd that the ceremony was going to be in a restaurant when they got the invitation: but by the time the day arrived, no one could deny it was a totally classic wedding (with a little pop of style!). Wow, Amy and Jeff were so happy on their wedding day- I think it really comes through in the photos, since Amy couldn’t stop smiling the whole day, and Jeff just had a spring in his step. We took photo all over before going to the wedding ceremony and then the Varsity theater for their reception. I am just so happy for these two – congrats!

I love my custom USB drives for wedding clients! Wedding photos are uniquely singular, so it makes sense to trust them to USB drives instead of DVDs or CDs: they are less likely to break or scratch, the media on them is more stable long term, and they look amazing! Also, they are reusable, so if you wanted to make a few backups of your wedding photos (which you should do anyway!) you could always re-purpose your USB drive for general use.

Andrea and Doug are one part classy, one part emotional, and one part silly. So, I had to preview two photos – one for the classy and emotional sides, and one for the silly side. I can’t wait to hear all about their lovely (and well deserved) honeymoon!

I have been excited for Amy & Jeff’s wedding for ages! They planned an amazing ceremony at the Loring Pasta Bar and reception at the Varsity Theater in Dinkytown. I can’t wait to finish editing their photos, but here is a little preview from the Loring’s new outdoor patio!

I hadn’t met Zach before the wedding, but I knew from meeting Jen that he must be something pretty special! Their wedding outside Minneapolis was a wonderful day full of lots of smiles, dancing, cupcakes, and the cutest flower girl entrance ever (one was ringing a bell and announcing “the bride is coming” in a very courageous 7-year-old voice).

A little red shoe love from Nasreen & Philip’s amazing wedding at the Downtown Minneapolis Hilton hotel.

This series of photos just touches my heart every time I look through them. A “first look” or a “first viewing” is something I set up so that the bride and groom can see each other and spend a few minutes away from everyone else before we start the formal photography, and it can clearly be an emotional time. I just love that Ian and Adrianne wear their hearts on their sleeves, and I can’t wait to post the rest of the images from their wedding.

I don’t have anything I can say about Adrianne & Ian’s wedding that they don’t say in every photo. They were so excited to be married and they shared that excitement with everyone. I am so very happy that you two are starting this new chapter of your lives together!

I first met Meghann a few weeks before her wedding to Matt when we talked about the details of her wedding ceremony at the Guthrie Theater. She also showed me an album of her years with Matt so far – the trips they took, the places they have lived, their celebrations and family. She wanted me to know a little about them before their wedding (which I loved) and when their wedding day came I felt like an old friend.
