I was going for a fun and light but slightly vintage feel, which is what the college club vibe is all about anyway.

One of the best parts about the venue is that there is a lot of natural light. It used to be a mansion, and the rooms all have wonderful windows out to the grounds and let in a lot of light.  It was really fun to balance that with some of my off camera lighting to add more texture to the photos. These are some images where the balance of natural lighting and flash worked just how I imagined!

I can’t wait to post more photos from some of old hollywood inspired set up, but here is a little preview of things to come. This was taken by freelensing, which is when you remove the lens and hold it in front of the camera at various angles to play with the plane of focus.
