To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

I was thrilled to work with Heather and Austin at their Minneapolis Wedding at the Varsity Theater. Everyone (including Heather and Austin) pointed out their different backgrounds – he is a mechanic, she is in tech. And yet those different approaches to problem solving and fiddling seem like two sides of the same coin – the analytical thinking, the ability to tinker and test, the constant evolution of ideas and approaches, are all assets they both bring into their marriage.
Other things they share in common: a gentle understated love of each other, hilarious and loving friends, an ability to cut loose on the dance floor. And there were doughnuts, so everything was pretty amazing.
Thank you, Heather and Austin, for choosing me to document your wedding. It was a lot of fun, and it was also just lovely, and I know you have many days like that ahead of you together.
