Here in the midst of a pandemic summer, I was scrolling endlessly through Instagram (is there any other way?) when suddenly I saw the post announcing Katie and Luke’s one year anniversary.

Obviously, that is how time works.
Katie and Luke’s wedding seems like a lifetime ago (masks? social distancing?)
And it also doesn’t seem like it could have possibly been an entire trip around the sun since that lovely warm summer celebration.
I’m joyful just looking through these photos again – so carefree and happy to be together. When we celebrate in groups in the future, I hope we can have this reckless abandon on the dance floor and quick ability to hug.

So, here are some of my favorite moments from an unforgettable day.
A day that started with the heat of August, and ended with the long blue evenings of Minnesota summer.

In between, there was so much joy – laughter among the grapevines, joyful tears in the ceremony, hugs among family, remarkable music, dancing, cigars on the patio, 7 Vines Wine, and toasts to the newlyweds.
Congratulations to Katie and Luke – you have truly found something remarkable together, and I know you have a lifetime of joy ahead of you!

Modern composition to this very elegant group How did they look so timeless but also so fun? I love it!

That joy that you only get after the ceremony is over – easy smiles and just a gorgeous portrait of these two lovely people! I love the ease that Katie and Luke have with each other – this is one of those small moments that I could never totally pose, it can only ever come from them. classic styling, modern joy at 7 Vines Vineyard wedding An easy stroll on a warm summer evening at 7 vines vineyard wedding
