The Minneapolis Campus Club is a gem of a space right on the University of Minnesota Campus. Overlooking the quad and a bit of the river, it can be a spectacular space to showcase Minneapolis for your guests.

Why I love photographing weddings at the Campus Club
Two reasons: the food and the patio. The patio lends itself to spectacular backdrops for a wedding ceremony, social hour, or evening photos.
As a food-focused person, I love a good local meal, and the campus club often works closely with local purveyors (including the University itself!) for one of a kind fresh dishes.

Ceremonies on the Patio at the Campus Club
If the weather is right, this is a perfect place for a sunlit wedding ceremony. For couples with a connection to the University of Minnesota, you can over look much of the historic campus.

Places for photos on campus
Many couples choose the Campus Club because they have a connection to the University of Minnesota. That makes the campus quad and nearby buildings a great place for photos.

Other nearby location for photos:
Many parks dot the riverfront area by the Campus Club, and you might even find you want to swing by the Stone Arch Bridge for portraits with the skyline.

Receptions with views of the Mississippi
The reception room at the Campus Club is on the 4th floor, and with full lenght windows this means expansive views of the Mississippi and surrounding buildings. If you are able to plan, it is even possible to have your first dance as the sun sets.

Frequently asked questions about wedding photography at the campus club:
How is the lighting for photos during the reception?
The reception room has floor to ceiling windows, and so your photographer should be prepared to take photos without glare. It can be difficult to balance the indoor lighting with the exterior views.

How much time should we plan for photos around the campus club?
The Campus Club itself is compact, and so any portraits in the Campus Club can happen efficiently. For photos outside, plan for some time to get into and out of the Campus Club as well as perhaps driving to a nearby park.
Have you photographed many weddings at the Campus Club?
Yes, its a fantastic space to play in for photos and gorgeous for celebrations – I’d love to hear from you if you are looking for a photographer for that space.
You don’t have to take it from me, here is what Elly and Zeke said about their experience working with me at for their Campus Club Wedding;
It isn’t even enough to say she takes beautiful photographs. She does so much more. She makes you feel comfortable, she makes you laugh, she genuinely cares about you and your day. She was so fun to work with and made me feel so much more at ease about being getting my photo taken.
