I photographed Emily and Jason’s lovely wedding at Dakota Lodge a few years back.

As much as I love photographing weddings in urban spaces, hotel ballrooms, and modern spaces , there is just something about a celebration on a warm summer evening in Minnesota. Its what we wait for all winter, and that makes it all the more precious.
ABOUT DAKOTA LODGE WEDDINGS
Dakota Lodge is a lovely park space for celebrations – a patio and woods for enjoying the outdoors, and a clean interior for a reception. These images of Emily and Jason’s weddings show some of the features of Dakota Lodge. You might also enjoy seeing weddings at these similar twin cities park wedding venues:
- Silverwood Park is probably the closest in features – it has a larger main reception room covered in windows and stone patio overlooking a small lake.
- Bryant Lake Pavilion, like Silverwood park, is also part of the Three Rivers Parks system – it is a smaller building, but has access to a gorgeous lake and dock.
- Theodore Wirth Chalet is part of Minneapolis Parks. The building has a lovely wooden beam construction.
- Mendakota Country Club also features established trees and window lined reception space.
ABOUT EMILY AND JASON’S WEDDING AT DAKOTA LODGE:
Emily’s parents are both pastors, so Jason had a lot to live up to when he joined the family! Luckily, both Emily & Jason share a love of laughter and a real respect for those around them, making their wedding a truly joyous occasion.
