Thrilled to share these images of Cate and Eric’s wedding at the Goodman Community Center in Madison.
Even after photographing hundreds of weddings, some days just stick with me. It may have been because we shot their engagement photos by Michael’s Frozen Custard (and if you feed me custard, we will remain friends for life). But it was probably because these two, and their friends, were just such a joy to be around.
I’d probably describe their wedding as an explosion of yellow and grey, laughter and more laughter, and easy going Wisconsin pride. Cate and Eric’s wedding at the Goodman Community center was all those things – happy, light, joyous, song-filled, and a wonderful start to an even happier married togetherness.
Ceremony: St Bernard Parish
Reception: Goodman Community Center
I love the capitol steps – there is always a new angle to find, always a new story to tell. Hanging outside the Goodman Community Center on their wedding day A flash composite of this fantastic crew on the steps by the Madison capitol – 6 images stitched together for a moire dramatic lighting situation. I am a sucker for a good pocket watch Stunning Cate, in her veil If I hide behind the trees, sometimes first look feels take over Little dots of yellow and cheer fell around these two for their wedding The sun came out to make this a little more intense Welcoming everyone to the Goodman Community Center wedding The Goodman Community Center Such a great transformed space in Madison! First dance like YES Sometimes you and your best friends look amazing, and all I have to do is stand back and click the button. A total pleasure of mine – I photographed this couple’s wedding later that year. A breath of air outside the goodman center after their reception I believe we were all dancing along to “Call me, Maybe”, except I was dancing while taking photos because it was pretty infectious.
