From Stillwater to the Intercontinental Hotel, Loree and Andrew’s St Paul wedding is a celebration of summer in MN
Good grief. I feel so lucky. So lucky to be able to sit down and pour through summery happy photos for this blog post. So happy to have been there to document their St Paul wedding in the first place. So honored that, after photographing her sister’s wedding several years ago, Loree and her family chose me to photograph her wedding to Andrew. Just so lucky to spend a day with happy people who found each other and celebrated with people who care about them.
Loree and Andrew were married in Stillwater at a lovely new outdoor venue, the Trellis Wedding Venue. Their reception at the Intercontinental Hotel (formerly Crowne Plaza Riverfront) in St Paul is probably one of the last uses the city will see of the rotating cocktail room with panoramic views of the Mississippi River and Downtown St Paul before it was decommissioned. The rotunda in the ballroom provided more amazing views of sunset over the river for their first dance, and then we absconded to the (slightly under construction) bridge for a few portraits with a most beautiful summer sky. Minnesota summer construction was in full effect, but with enough happy distraction, no one will remember that part.
Thank you, Loree and Andrew, for choosing me to document your wedding, and for finding each other in the first place.
