If what they say is “Nothing is forever”
Then what makes, then what makes, then what makes
Then what makes, what makes, what makes
Love the exception?
-Outkast (Hey Ya)
One major problem with shooting weddings all year round is that I end up fairly busy all year round. It is lovely to have a mix of temperatures and seasons and people, but it also means I never have a long “blogging month” anymore. Which is to say, I’m only now catching up on blogging all the amazing couples I got to work with last year. Not least of which is definitely Erica and Erik!
Their wedding at the Madison Club was as classic as the space – elegant and timeless and very lovely. But their also imbued the day with their own twists. I’m a personal fan of the clay figure of the two of them and their orange tabby cat as their cake topper. Since they are both scientists, there was an animal classification theme to their table arrangements. Eric switched into his grandfather’s wool suit for the ceremony.
The thing that makes a wedding feel truly timeless exactly that element that lasts forever – love is the exception.
