I’m revisiting some weddings I’ve blogged over the years, and something about Melissa & Marc’s wedding at Tripp Commons really sticks with me.
It is probably how charming the kids were or how much everyone just truly seemed to enjoy celebrating together.
Like all great beginnings, they celebrated with a lot of laughter, dancing, and just a few tears.
Melissa is a designer, and so the invitations and many of the other pieces were gorgeously put together.
WEDDINGS AT TRIPP COMMONS
I’ve photographed many weddings at Tripp Commons in the Memorial Union over the years. And before that, I enjoyed planning events there as part of the group of student-led Wisconsin Union Directorate. Since I’m from Madison, my memories of being on the Terrace and playing in the Union extend far into my childhood, but Tripp Commons is a more formal space, perfect for dancing, toasting, and celebrating.
The most notable part of Tripp Commons is the dark wood accents on the ceiling and walls – bringing a more “old world” feel to the space. It also has its own outdoor balcony space overlooking the terrace – a perfect space for cocktail hour and people watching when the weather is right.
