Franny and Ty were married a year ago – what has delayed this blog post of their Basilica and Nicollet Island Pavilion wedding?
I suppose to a certain extent I just like to hold onto weddings – knowing I can revisit them and write about them later.
But just like a firefly caught in the warm evening, eventually is must be set free or it will stop being luminous.
It was lovely to photograph Franny and Ty’s wedding at the Basilica in Minneapolis – a stunning place that brings real gravity to any commitment while also anchoring the celebration with years of tradition.
And it was raucous to continue that celebration at the Nicollet Island Pavilion – a place uniquely positioned to show off the Minneapolis skyline at night and big enough to contain the party within.
Thank you, Franny and Ty, for choosing me to document your wedding, to celebrate alongside you, and to capture the joy of your abundant family and friends as they celebrated through the night!
