Minneapolis Club Wedding brings new life to old building
Was it the whole-hearted dancing to the live band? The champagne toast with fellow congregants? The ease with which all friends and family shared their laughter? The amazing blue suit and slight deco vibe? Perhaps it was just Siri + John, who have assembled such a fun-loving, stylish, sharing, eclectic crew that made their wedding SO. MUCH. FUN.
It had serious parts, too – a beautiful ceremony in Siri’s family church and speeches. But mostly it was a tremendously fun celebration of two incredibly fun people.
I had the pleasure of working with these two from afar – they planned their Minneapolis wedding from New York City and so most plans were made by email. The Minneapolis Club was a perfect place to show off the historic and cosmopolitan parts of the Twin Cities – it has an elegant grandeur and sophistication that is generally thought to exist solely on the coasts, but it is also situated in the heart of downtown. Also, the food is phenomenal, the staff exceedingly professional and welcoming, and a vibe best described as “swanky.”
(and if you feel like checking out the testimonial Siri left for me, you can also read my new catch phrase: “It’s Dilley or Nilly”)

“Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself”
– Desiderius Erasmus
The renaissance humanist was certainly not talking about flash composite photographs, but what is true for the enlightenment is also true for physics in this case. Composed of 4 separate images, composited together to have each grouping perfectly lit, so that the light is in only the right places. Congratulations to Siri and John, who have a whole shared lifetime ahead of them, and many more great things in it.
