When we were planning the details for Tori and Matt’s Minneapolis engagement photos, Tori warned me that she didn’t have any photos of Matt smiling.
Although he laughs and smiles a lot (a lot!), he has a keen sense of when a photo is being taken and immediately goes stern-faced. She had hoped that we might be able to get an image or two of him smiling during the engagement photos.
And we certainly did.
But I also wanted to get lots of the more serious, quiet interactions that are not about huge smiles.
To look into a camera and trust me with your image is a uniquely intimate experience, and I honor that by trying my best to capture as much truth of you as possible. Sometimes that isn’t smiling.
So, yes, smiles. And also the many other ways that Tori and Matt express their joy in being together.
So, here are images from Tori and Matt’s Minneapolis engagement session – from the rooftop of the apartment they share (and a few images with their very photogenic cat, Luna) to the Stone Arch Bridge and walking around St Anthony Main.
I shared a few of their wedding photos in my guide to planning your MN Camp Wedding Photography!
