On Minneapolis Engagement photos and finding the joy in getting outside in Winter:
It is easy to hibernate in winter in Minneapolis – to let the inertia of being in a warm house with wool socks on keep you from putting on your boots and living an outside life. Part of that cozy warmth is what marks the winter as a season, but the constant fight against the call of the warm comforter to just stay in bed a little longer is a real fight.
Dhaval and Sneha have fought the good fight this year – getting engaged, planning their wedding (in India), traveling for work and family, and taking engagement photos outside in January. Cozy together, warm together, but certainly living a bigger life throughout this winter.
As far as upsides go, Winter means later sunrise times, so we could meet at a leisurely 8:15 for their overcast sunrise session. Generally, it’s the only time when the Stone Arch bridge is not crawling with a combination of tourists and bikers, so the view of downtown is entirely unobstructed.
