A fear of heights and Ferris wheel engagement photos
So, planning engagement photos makes some people anxious. I totally understand, most adults have not have had formal portraits taken since high school or maybe for a work ID. Even if those were pretty good experiences, they were probably not meaningful and fun. So I like to assure couples thinking about engagement photos that taking photos with your sweetie can be fun: it can be as enjoyable and easy as a nice walk, or a quick bite. Sure, I will be there, but I’ll handle my end of the conversation just fine, and as much of yours as you want me to take over.
Because engagement photos are a unique time to focus on what you enjoy doing as a couple and the places you like to spend your time, that means your date night is a perfect place to start with locations. Or your fun weekend plans, your favorite neighborhood, your first apartment together, are all great ideas for engagement photos that will make sure you feel comfortable and connected. Beautiful locations matter a lot less than engaging and fun locations.
So, when Ava and Alex asked what I thought about Ferris wheel engagement photos at Betty Dangers Country Club, I was thrilled. Also slightly terrified of heights, but mostly thrilled.

So, obviously, it had to be a panorama – how else to get the whole city from the Lowry Bridge to the Minneapolis skyline to Ava and Alex, cuddled together. This image is comprised of 40 images, stitched together, taken quickly before the car started moving again.
