Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.
-Oscar Wilde
In general, talking about great weather a boring way to describe a wedding. After all, I can’t plan the weather, I can only respond to it – find the opportunities in the wet sidewalk or the shady street. In general, I prefer to talk about the wild laughter, the bold colors, the unrestrained dancing. And yet, Elizabeth and Matt’s uncommonly gorgeous October Minneapolis Five Event Center wedding was so bright, so atumnal, that it colors everything in sunny warm golden tones. Was it the best weather in Minnesota all year? Yeah, it might have been. And I was lucky enough to be photographing happy, beautiful, joyous people that day.
We started at the welcoming red door of St Luke’s Episcopal Church in Minneapolis. From there, the ceremony, the photos at Lake of the Isles and the reception at Five Event Center were all happy blurs of light and color, joy and warmth.
Thank you, Elizabeth and Matt, for trusting me to capture your wedding, for being patient until I could fully blog it, and for chosing the perfect day for a celebration.
