Frequently Asked Questions about Minneapolis Mansion Weddings
Do you have favorite Mansions for weddings in Minneapolis?
Absolutely! The Semple mansion and Gale mansions have been mainstays for many years and feature mixes of spaces with a lot of old features. For a mix of old and modern Scandinavian, the Swedish Institute is a gem of a mansion space. And mansions also dot the greater metro area, with the St Paul College Club and the German-American institute in St Paul.
How does the light look in mansions?
Mansions were built when demands for spaces was very different! This often means that interior spaces can have complicated lighting situations, and having a photographer ready to balance ambient light with other options is often required to make sure the spaces show up well in photos!
Have you photographed many weddings where the couple jump the broom?
Yes, “jumping the broom” is one of my favorite traditions to photograph! I feel truly honored to document a huge diversity of weddings and couples, and it is a pleasure to celebrate however you want to celebrate.
Do you photograph Mansion weddings frequently?
Yes, I have photographed many of Minneapolis’s mansion wedding venues, often multiple times. If you are looking any of the charming mansions in Minneapolis for your wedding, I’d love to connect with you about photography!
