On timlessness and beauty at this Minneapolis Orthodox Jewish Wedding
Doesn’t everyone hope that, looking back at their wedding photos, there will be something effortless and classic that lasts? Beyond the changing senses of style and technology, past the newest fad in lighting or hairstyles – something organic and timeless.
I hope for that with every wedding I shoot. And I find it in every wedding I shoot – it isn’t generally found in the details, no matter how stunning, or in the decorations or even in the clothes. Its always found in the interactions between people. Honest, and beautiful and gorgeous beyond measure.
All of which is to say, Masha and Alex’s wedding was beautiful. Masha’s dress with a lace bolero was elegant and a little sultry. Alex is one of those rare few who can wear a tux and make it feel effortless. The draping, the decorations, the wedding party, the flowers – everything came together in a gorgeous melody, which all would have been meaningless without the emotion and joy everyone shared.
Timeless? Yes. Absolutely
Technical Notes: A combination of weather, timing, and construction meant that all photos were taken indoors. Off camera flash lighting was used in most places to showcase the draping, and LED video light brought in some variety.
Ceremony and Reception: Minneapolis Marriott City Center
