I first met Molly in our neighborhood – she was in her front yard with a chain saw cutting up large pieces of a tree that had been knocked down in the storm. For our part, the storm damage had knocked out our power, and instead of being industrious, we took a walk to the coffee shop. Clearly more competent at survival than we were, Molly became our part time nanny and her family became our extended family. Our son went with her to antique tractor shows, her fiance, Matt, would occasionally help weed wack our lawn when we were out of our depth, and we have felt so grateful to have had them in our lives.
So when she and Matt planned their wedding (and subsequently found their dream home on a small farm outside the city), we felt incredibly happy for the two of them, and perhaps a little sad for ourselves to not have such ready access to these great people.
Their wedding featured a lot of antique tractors, a stunning sunny day, and so much joy.
Thank you, Molly and Matt, for the many years of kindness and assistance, and for choosing me to document such a wonderful day!
