Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
– Lao Tzu
I do love a good love story, even after all these years of seeing great love stories play out in weddings. Robin and Logan, traveling continents to be together, had a love story very worth celebrating, and they did in the most gorgeous part of Western Wisconsin. Nestled into the rolling hills of of the driftless zone – where the mist of a rainstorm gets caught between the bluffs the glaciers missed all those millennia ago – that is where Robin and Logan had their lovely joyful summer wedding.
Norskedalen heritage center is a mouthful to pronounce and a place you would never just stumble into, but the preserved farm houses and shelters make for amazing views of the hills in all directions. And those hills made for an amazing backdrop for late night fireworks illuminated by the misty evening.
Its only a part of their love story – one location out of many, one day out of thousands. But it was a hell of a celebration, and the marking of a great partnership.

Yep – I live in Minneapolis, but I’m a Wisconsin native. I love driving over to the driftless (sometimes further!) for wedding and events.
