I’ve been going through weddings from past years, updating the photos and revising the text and I was thrilled to look through the weddings from this Northwoods MN wedding again.
Paula and Nick’s wedding was classic Northern Minnesota – a handmade wooden boat for two, fireworks from their family cabin, and a tent full of loved ones.
I often talk about my “bag of tricks” when I talk about wedding photography. I’ve developed this back of skills and ideas over the course of my entire life – from my days as a camp counselor I learned the importance of gratitude and anticipating problems. I learned how to build a fire, pilot a canoe, a keep stoic in the face of so many mosquitoes.
For Nick and Paula’s wedding, I added the skill of taking photos of people in a handmade boat. A very specific skill, but one I am terribly grateful for.
Nick made this boat by hand so it would be ready in time for his wedding to Paula. Leaving their wedding ceremony in a little handmade boat for two This is also a marriage of two puppies Little pup not sure about the flower collar.
