Michaela and Andre’s Minneapolis Celebration kicked off a summer of joy
One thing about Michaela and Andre’s Renaissance Minneapolis depot wedding is that, even after hundreds of weddings, there is no greater honor than when I’m hired a second time by the same family. In this case, I photographed weddings of two siblings in the same year, and it was a total delight to get to know their families and document such kick-ass celebrations. Michaela and Andre kicked off a summer of celebrations.

I am thrilled that we took the time to walk for portraits with the wedding party under the stone arch bridge. This was one of the places that first made me fall in love with Minneapolis when I moved here, and it has remained a favorite location for photos and walks ever since. On this particular day, the temperature was close to 90 so we didn’t stay long, but it brought a lovely outdoor vibe to the rest of the images.
The rest of the day, we were in the glorious air conditioned beauty of the Renaissance Minneapolis Depot. Their ceremony in the Winter Garden featured an altar of paper cranes. The reception in the Great Hall featured all the historic architecture of the original railway ballroom, plus a night of endless dancing.
Thank you so much Michaela and Andre, for letting me be a part of your day and your family’s celebrations!
