As much as I love photographing weddings in urban spaces, hotel ballrooms, and modern spaces , there is just something about a celebration outside in Minnesota.
Here are some of smaller country club wedding venues that feature outdoor spaces in Minneapolis and the larger Metro area.

Hazeltine
This isn’t particularly small exactly, but it often falls under the radar for weddings. A world class golf course, and an excellent place for celebrations.
Southview Country Club weddings
Southview is right in the metro and has gorgeous grounds as well as a large indoor reception space.

DAKOTA LODGE WEDDINGS
Dakota Lodge is a lovely park space for celebrations – a patio and woods for enjoying the outdoors, and a clean interior for a reception.
Rush Creek Weddings
Beautiful stone work as well as lots of outdoor spaces makes this a great spot. Also excellent for winter weddings!

Mendakotah Country Club
Beautiful exterior spaces and clean lines of a reception space.
Bryant Lake Pavilion
This is part of the Three Rivers Parks system – it is a smaller building, but has access to a gorgeous lake and dock.

Other spots:
- Silverwood Park is probably the closest in features – it has a larger main reception room covered in windows and stone patio overlooking a small lake.
- Theodore Wirth Chalet is part of Minneapolis Parks. The building has a lovely wooden beam construction.
