Minneapolis winter wedding at Varsity Theater {Shannon + Sean}

Shannon + Sean put effort into the little things that mattered to them (like Sean’s amazing ring made from Elk horn, or Shannon’s blue gloves), and then they let the rest of the day unfold as it would, from a little snow to a lot of laughter and some great food. What a perfect way to warm up a Minneapolis winter! Hotel: Aloft Ceremony: Loring Pasta Bar Reception: Varsity Theater Floral: Martha’s Gardens

Varsity Theater & Loring Pasta Bar wedding {Molly & Andy}

If you are planning a wedding, take a note from Molly & Andy’s: get the right people involved, find the things that are important to you, and then just let it happen. I admire how they can stay in the moment – from the hilarious faces they make to their utter respect and love for each other. Nice job, you two, in finding each other and then planning a great celebration. Like a tall glass of champagne – Colleen & Micah’s understated, elegant, wonderful madison wedding

When I arrived to take photos of Colleen and Micah, Jessica (Colleen’s sister-in-law) remarked that in her gown, Colleen ¬†looks like a tall glass of champagne. What a fine description for the totally elegant but understated charm that was Colleen & Micah’s wedding. That same simple charm speak a bit also to their relationship – quietly steady, constantly classic. I was so fortunate to able to document their wedding in Madison.
