I am not generally a “gushing over the details” type of person about weddings, which can be surprising in a wedding photographer. Yes, decorations and details are an important part of the storytelling of the totality of a wedding (and yes, they are generally very pretty); but decor does not a happy wedding make. Several years ago, I photographed Tracey and Miguel’s Milwaukee Art Museum wedding. I’ve been revisiting some of my favorite weddings on my blog, updating the photos to match my current website, and reflecting on photography over the years. I still keep in touch with Tracey and Miguel via social media. Their family has grown, their careers have blossomed, and they remain classy as hell. They planned their wedding remotely, and so I didn’t even meet them until I drove to Milwaukee for their wedding.
