A whole lifetime happened since Tori and Matt’s MN camp wedding – a global pandemic, cold winters, hot summers, and now the birth of their (adorable!) son.

Honestly, their wedding has been in my queue for a while to blog about, but it has been a year!
Like, 2020 is no joke for small businesses, for creatives, for families, for individuals, for a country. For all of us, this has been a shared trauma that will continue to unfold in our lifetimes.
Even though I am thrilled (thrilled!) to finally be blogging their wedding, I also just have to mention the context of writing this post.

So, thank you 2020 for the clarity you have provided – the total awesome joy of celebrating, the promise that we will gather again.
Thank you to Tori and Matt, who trusted me with their engagement and wedding photos, who let me document their maternity photos, and whose son I got to photograph this fall!
I’ve written extensively about my love for MN Camp weddings before (and I have a whole article with tips for planning your camp wedding!). Tori and Matt’s wedding had some of the best hallmarks of a classic camp wedding – the campfire with marshmallows, and dock jutting out on a lake, and the old wooden lodge.
They also made it totally perfect for them – Matt’s family traveled from Jamaica to get a taste of MN summers (and cool nights!), and Tori wore her grandmother’s wedding gown – classic but updated just for their celebration.

Tori wore her grandmothers wedding dress – stunning across generations Matt’s family came in from Jamaica to celebrate
