A wedding ceremony at Temple Israel inspires the kind of awe that makes you really pay attention. The weight of the architectural detail, the vastness of the main space, the intricate ceilings, the permanence of stone.
Annie and David’s wedding combined that kind of awe with pure joy – from their families, from their friends, and mostly in being together.
It was a total pleasure to document their wedding service, and then their exuberant reception at the Walker Art Center. A hora really is better with a panoramic view of the Minneapolis skyline!
Ceremony: Temple Israel
Reception: Walker Art Center
Three images, stitched together, to bring in a little dramatic light during this dusk photo on the steps of Temple Israel in Minneapolis. Annie and David, before the ceremony Temple Israel, Minneapolis, Fall. That “just signed the Ketubah” feeling! Annie and David, just before the ceremony begins. David’s brother- channeling a little bit of that rat pack vibe. Annie’s dress with the old building of Temple Israel. I think I was laying on the floor to get this photo framed just how I wanted it – the amazing ceiling of Temple Israel. Signing the Ketubah at Temple Israel. Just married! Rainy view outside Walker Art Center reception room I can’t remember what was said, but I will always remember this reaction to the toast! Dancing the Hora at the walker! First dance with skyline views at the Walker Art Center
