COVID changed Jill and Jamal’s wedding plans, but they still celebrated joyfully at their Hyland Hills wedding nonetheless.
I’ve been a Minneapolis wedding photographer for 15 years. I don’t have words for what its been like to run a small business during COVID, and I think that this experience will leave an indelible mark on us, like living through the great depression, or WWII.
Yes, we are forever changed by 2020. And also yes, this gives us a new clarity – cherish your togetherness. (see more about what to expect from a photographer for your wedding during COVID in 2021)

Jill and Jamal changed their wedding plans countless times because of COVID. They went from a large country club wedding to a small backyard wedding, and finally to a socially distanced wedding at Hyland Hills.

The weather cooperated, there were masks and social distancing and eating in small pod groups. And I am sure part of remembering Jill and Jamal’s wedding will include all of those consessions to the pandemic we are living in.
And there was also laughter, and joy, and much celebrating.
